Lloyd Klein, my Dad, passed away on February 29th this year. Today he would have been 76 years young.
I miss him every day. Normally I’d be making plans to leave sometime this afternoon to see him tonight in Black River Falls, a little over a 3 hour drive from here, for a good dinner, then maybe a drink and some music, perhaps a game of pool or two.
He’d listen to all my plans and schemes. He was a great listener. He’d go out of his way to meet some friends while I was there and he’d brag some about me and what I was doing. He was proud of me. He’d ask about each of the kids, and he’d offer much of the same advice; he should join the service, it’ll make a man out of him, or she’s doing real good in school, she should keep it up. He’d find time and a teller of jokes to listen to a few and to laugh.
I miss him. Often.
Happy Birthday, Dad.
Love,
Keith
